Individual therapy

Virtual session available for New Jersey and New York residents.  

I provide a free intro call. During this call we will discuss your goals, what you are looking to experience in therapy, along with my approach and specialities.

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes.

Anxiety

Anxiety can be activated for many different reasons. We will identify what is underneath and the root of your anxiety. We will help your body build a capacity for the sensations associated with anxiety and other emotions. Anxiety can manifest as elevated heart rate, pit in your stomach, or chest pain. You will learn body based skills to regulate and support your body when feeling anxiety. When your body feels calm your mind often times will follow.

People Pleasing 

People pleasing is an adaptive skill where children learn to try and manage the emotions of others around them. Such as anticipating the needs of others and doing whatever they think the other person wants them to do. When those around us did not meet our needs as children it can be challenging to meet our own as adults. Maybe you feel guilty expressing your needs, responsible for other peoples emotions, and like it's your job to take care of those around you. We will work together towards a greater sense of self autonomy, build your capacity for honoring your needs, and creating a sense of safety within yourself.

Trauma

Traumatic experiences can become "stuck" in our bodies when we were not able to complete our bodies instinctual response. For example if you had the impulse to run away (flee) from a situation but were not able to. This impulse to flee become immobilized in the body. Which can cause tension, anxiety, restlessness, and so on. We will very gently and slowly support your body to complete instinctual self protective responses along with digesting what your body is holding onto. You will connect with your inner resilience through this process.

Stress

Perhaps you find yourself overthinking, spiraling, or overwhelmed. Stress can cause tension, pain, or disconnection from our bodies. Together we will help you build the capacity to slow down and feel still and calm in your body. We will also work together in allowing for the completion of the stress response cycle and promoting resilience and well-being. Our world can be a very stressful place let's find moments together and parts of your body free from that.

Depression 

Together we will support your body to come out of immobilization and help you to develop a greater awareness of your bodies sensations, emotions, and impulses. Through our work you will release stored trauma energy through gentle somatic techniques. By supporting you in renegotiating your relationship with your body and emotions, you will restore a sense of vitality, agency, and connection, ultimately alleviating depressive symptoms and promoting overall well-being.

Self Esteem 

Maybe you've had many experiences that impacted the way you see and feel about yourself. This may impact the way you talk to yourself, the decisions you make, and what you may accept in your life. Together we will recognize the sensations and emotions that your body is experiencing around self esteem. We will support your body to digest stories you are telling yourself that no longer serve you.

Relationships 

Relationships are understood as deeply influenced by early attachment experiences and subsequent relational traumas. Together we will work towards healing attachment wounds through somatic and relational interventions. We will focus on promoting secure attachment by addressing attachment disruptions and fostering healthy relational skills, such as emotional regulation, boundaries, and attunement. Through integrating somatic awareness and relational practices, you will experience resilience, restore balance in relationships, and develop a greater capacity for intimacy, connection, and fulfillment in your relationships.

Breathwork & Energy Healing

Breathwork allows the subconscious mind to come forward so healing can take place. I am certified in a type of breathwork which invites a quickening of the breath and involves breathing in a specific pattern.

Breathwork takes you out of the everyday pattern of breath and introduces your body to a new pattern. Research shows that this can improve feelings of clarity, self-awareness, and provide a relief from stress, anxiety, and boosts the immune system.

 

​Breathwork is also a great way to release emotional pressure from your body. 

At the beginning of the hour long session we will discuss your intention for our time together. During the session music will play in the background as I prompt and guide you through the session. I will provide specific support and guidance based on how you are progressing and the intention you shared.
