To Be Human is to Lose Our Way…and Find it Again.

Being human is hard. It is a journey that changes us daily and we often need someone to listen, guide and support us when we cannot do it ourselves. Whether you arrived here because trauma from your past (be that yours, individually or the generations before yours) are effecting you today or because you find you are struggling with the present or future, I am glad you reached out. You deserve to be heard and honored for who and how you are in this moment.

My background & approach

I am a holistic trauma-informed therapist who believes that healing the body and nervous system is essential to overall resilience and contentment. I integrate strength- based , somatic therapy with nervous system work, such as poly vagal work, breathwork, and mindfulness to create sessions that go beyond just talk therapy. The therapeutic alliance (how we get along!) means a lot to me. I want you to feel safe, cared for and understood. I believe that healing is an everyday journey and that each client is unique. Change is not always easy and not always linear. The unknown can be uncomfortable and scary. Therefore, we focus on the approaches/tools that you connect with, to help you feel confident and capable of facing change as it arrives. Our journey together will always be a collaboration.

With me, you can expect to gain a deeper understanding of what your body is telling you and how you can utilize it to help process and heal your mind, brain and body. You will grow to have more tolerance for the present world around you and how you fit into that world. You will also find more forgiveness for the parts of your past that you feel might have hindered you.

My clients have described me as authentic, compassionate, funny, understanding and a calming presence. Clients have said, I make them “feel seen and heard without judgment.” In sessions, you will learn to find room for all the parts of yourself you may have tried to hide. You will laugh and yes, maybe cry, but you will also find a way to connect to all your emotions in a productive way.

I am on a constant quest for new knowledge and research. I have my Bachelors in Acting from California Institute of the Arts and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Antioch University. I completed a 4-year program in Nondual Kabbalistic Healing and I am trained in Level 1 for Psychedelic Assisted Therapy. Currently, I am in training to become certified as a Level 2 CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional). In addition to Rooted Healing, I am the Primary Therapist at women’s halfway house that focuses on helping women recover from severe substance use and heal their complex trauma. I love discussing neuroscience and epigenetics and how it all plays a part in our healing as humans.
